Scotland – Castles and Gardens

Photo credit: VisitScotland Facebook, Charles McGuigan

You will be amazed at how many castles are waiting to be discovered in Scotland. And many of those majestic castles are nested in redolent, colourful, blooming gardens (with some gardens dated from medieval times!). Thanks to the country’s temperate climate,  you will find an array of plants and flowers including palm trees, rhododendrons, orchids and Himalayan poppies. Some gardens are at their best early in summer, while others reach their peak in August, and the woodland gardens look beautiful in autumn. From early summer to late fall, there’s a castle and garden tour for you waiting to be explored.
